NO HONOR

I know that you can't keep beating a dead horse. But, it really bothers me that the issue of the guitar was dropped so easily. There were many people who worked so hard to make this event a success and to have it marred by someone stealing is beyond me.  I know the identity of the person who stole it and I don't understand why he isn't prosecuted for it. He is not a member of the Buckhorn or Crockettsville community.  I hope to have the opportunity to see him face to face and I will tell him what I think of him and ask where his honor is, him being a military man and all !!!!!!!!!

I am upset with what the person did as well, but I have to agree with Mama Daisy. The boys have to do what is right for them and for the band.

Mama Grace and I would love to confront the thief, but David has to consider the consequences prosecuting will have on other people involved. He would love to prosecute, but has to do what is best for him, Chad and his company. The publicity could be worse than doing nothing. I'm sure they will work together in deciding what is best for all concerned. We are certainly not happy with the act that was committed, however, it has to be their decision.

I agree that he should have to suffer the consequenses for his actions. It sad that such a thing would happen at a charity event. I am just happy he got his guitar back.

Randy, it's not a matter of vengence at all. It's a matter of what's right & wrong and paying the consequences. The guy committed a crime, it's not like he accidentally picked up the guitars and accidentally sold David's to a pawn shop. He will pay for what he did one way or another, but it's up to David to decide if pressing charges is the correct thing to do. He's the only one who can make that decision. As of right now, this topic really has not gotten much publicity - except for here and on KY news programs. It's up to David to do what he feels is the right thing to do in this situation. He has to consider how his reaction to this matter will affect other people that were involved in the charity event, not just his own feelings. As much as this bothered all of us, it had to be much worse for David, Chad, their families and friends who took part in the Trail Ride. I'm sure he's just happy to have his guitar back.

Randy, I don't know if its so much an issue of 'vengeance' we're looking at, so much as anger, resentment, and disappointment at the big picture. Here we have the first the results of this magnificent event unfolding, and it will forever be blemished with the greed and selfishness of this unworthy individual. It completely disgusts ME, so I can only imagine how revolted Mama G and Mama Daisy must be.

i have a question??? what if the guy asks for foregivenss../?? then what??..i certainly dont like what he did, but if we have a resentment towards him?? isnt it really just hurting us??...god said vengeance is mine :).....trust in that.....there is great power in forgivenss...i have both asked for it and given it in my lifetime....thats how you get peace...and you know what? as i sit here and think>?? i still havent forgiven the guy that stole my guitar yet either...seems to me i better practice what i preach :)

You have every right to feel such animosity towards this man! It's such a disgrace to everyone who was there doing good! I'm with Jenn and he'll pay the price in some way, shape or form! I never have understood stealing or those who do it for that matter!
Just glad that the guitars made it back!

I was disgusted when I heard David's guitar was stolen. The boys were there doing something so amazing and wonderful for their home, not to mention all the people behind the scenes who worked so hard, and for this guy to steal their guitars...it's just horrible.

I'm sorry everyone had to deal with this, and I'm sure David, especially, was extremely upset about the whole situation. I agree with you, Mamma G, the guy should have to pay for what he did, but I guess it's really up to David to decide what to do. I'm just happy both guitars are back with their rightful owners.

I do agree. It is so sad that this guy did this to the boys! This was done as a charity event and for someone to do such a low thing is just unbelieveable! He will have to answer for his actions one way or another.
So Sad!
Good Morning Mama Grace!
