Our brunch was a little disappointing this year, wasnt nearly as good as last year. They had an omelet bar, veggie, fruit, and cheese tray, Scones, sausage and bacon, roast pork , meatballs...and packaged desserts. Last year they had all kinds of homemade turtle cheescake and things like that so I was kinda bummed..It was just nice to sit with my family all together we dont do that very often these days.

I'm sure my mama will make a meatless pasta something for me. They'll have some kinna meat something, smashers, veggies, salad and the rest. I made a 'tunnel of fudge' cake, and I'm making a cinny cake too. My daddy is diabetic, so I DEFINITELY don't want him diggin' into the fudge cake - WHICH HE WILL! The cinny cake uses much less sugar. . .

Long as my mama is around, Jen, it's gonna be HER day! I have to count my blessings every single day that she is still with us, and in such great health. I think I will jump in the grave WITH her when she passes. . . I NEED my mama!!!!

EVERYONE is coming to my house today!!! OYYYY!!!! there will be about 15 peeps here......I've been cooking since 7:30 this morning.....and I thought today was MY day??? lol!!! oh well, i am glad I like to cook! Brisket, cornbread dressing, greenbeans, yeast rolls, salad, corn casserole, devilled eggs, tripple layer dessert and strawberry shortcake.........we've got enough for an ARMY!!! anyone else wanna come and eat??? there will be PLENTY!
